measuring temperatures from cellphone

Hi,
I'm looking for a project that can manage a few (2-5) temperatures measurements and connect to electronic devices (each thermometer to one electronic device), and that have access to wifi (or something similar) so I can track the temperature from my cellphone and that will enable me to close/open the electronic devices.
In essence I'm not femiliar with arduino projects and my aim is to do what I just described in a minimum of work, I heard that there are a "complete projects" that you can buy?
The first step will be to purchase the divice/devices.
Do you have any advices for my?
