Would this microscope work for pcb soldering?

I'm currently looking at this microscope for doing some SMD soldering work? Would this work, or should I go for a more expensive/better option?

I would say that microscope isn't suitable since you can not move it relative to its base which limits the overall size board you can examine with it. I would be looking at something more like the attached picture that gives you lots of room to move the head around relative to the base. They are somewhat expensive new but good condition used models can be found on Ebay for reasonable money.
