Hi all

So i have designed a panel in CAD which has buttons, switches, LEDs, and an LCD screen. I am trying to design a circuit board that mounts behind it. So what i have done is import a DXF into the BRD file and i see the board as it should be. BUT how do i indicate holes without having to redraw them or indicate where an LED goes and is NOT a hole. Know what i mean? any ideas would be great.

A drawing is what you need to do.

If you have a DXF that shows them, copy the relevant bits to a layer you can Gerber and remove everything except the outline and cutouts.
Add some dimensions to it.

Anything else is likely to get missed - a drawing should be clear and accurate.

I would normally draw things like this on the layer used for a drill drawing.

it is better to draw all those into the CAD ( dxf ) file first , then you do the import , and then you can do the refference draw in Eagle .
