Questions relating to designing PCBs

I have a GTL gerber file and I want to get the dimensions for one of the pads (i.e. 8mil by 6mil) so I can replicate the part in one of my libraries.

What free software have you used to get dimensions like these?

More Information:
- I use the EAGLE Standard package.
- I've tried ViewMate, GerbV, and some online viewers, as well.
- I use Windows 7.

I can do this in GC-Prevue from graphicode.com

query the pad and it will tell you its D code, look it up in the aperture tables and it will tell you the sizes etc.
ISTR that you can also measure the distances.

Excellent, thank you! I've downloaded the software and will give it a try.
