Questions relating to designing PCBs

hey.
i am creating some circuit and need test points to see how what signal i am getting at a point before i feed it to the next stage.I have up-til now used library const-lb ie male connector but that has minimum 3 pins.
now i need 2 pins or single pin as testpoint.
1.what library should i use?
2.I tried jumper library component JP1E. what is difference between jumper and male connector?
3.i was thinking about loop testpoint rather than vertical one
here:http://bit.ly/cKtnce
is it surface mount or through hole? and what about its library?
Thanks in advance

Something wrong with using a standard resistor or capacitor footprint, and shorting the legs together in the schematic?

First, don't post links like that. Doesn't matter how long the original link is. I for one will not go to that link and nobody else should either given the fact of how many viruses are running around.

look at the "testpad" library. I don't understand what the big deal is. It's however you want to make it.
