Questions relating to designing PCBs

Hi

I'd like to change the copper fill clearance radius around regular drill holes. By default it is too large in eagle and breaks my ground planes too much.

how do i go about changing this radius, i've clicked around ground plane options but couldn't find

Thanks
Alex

Maybe I'm not interpreting this correct, but you want the fill to come closer to the rest of the work? If you 'info' the polygon you want to reduce the 'isolate' value, or set it really low when you first draw it.

My default is always zero and I have to increase it, though.

sorry if i was unclear

for example, you have a footprint of a part that contains holes (like an SD card connector for instance). But once i create a ground plane, it pours way too far from the actual holes, much further than the clearance set in the ground plan properties.
I cannot seem to find a way to alter this clearance around such holes

I'd open the offending part in the library editor to see what's going on. It's a bit hard to follow your description but it might be keepouts. Connectors often have metal areas that can't have traces under them.
