USB-MIDI Encoder

Post by tittualex » Thu Sep 25, 2014 10:20 am

Dear All,

I am a newbie to this forum.

I am planning to make a MIDI keyboard and I have seen a lot of schematics for MIDI encoder / MIDI USB interface separately. But I would like to know whether these two can be combined together into one PCB with a single PIC microcontroller. If so please share your design.

I see this is a post from last year that I missed. I have a PCB layout that uses a piggy backed UBW32. This design will 'midify' up to four 11x6 or 8x8 matrix keyboards and additional controls using I2C boards. See the Virtual Organ page at and search for 'Allen Organ MIDI' at OSH Park to find the PCB.
