Help with general USB design plan, urgent.

Post by DanielB33 » Thu Oct 04, 2012 4:40 pm

I need to have USB connection from my relays board to a PC for control. I am working with a STM32F1. All I need to do is communicate through HyperTerminal to my micro to control timing events, reset, etc. Is there a simple way to do this via HyperTerminal? I could do this via RS-232 but my company prefers USB. Once again, all I need to do is send information through something like TeraTerminal to my micro to communicate with it, nothing fancy. I am very new to USB so I thought somebody would have some words of wisdom for me before I delve into this project. I am reading USB complete, great book but am hoping I do not have to re invent the wheel.

Thanks much!

It looks like libopencm3 supports USB CDC class; that should show up as a serial port on the PC
