That sounds like a very exciting system.

Could you add the Iridium modem 9063 to the design (with spots for the supercapacitors and necessary electronics around of course )?

I also wonder if you may want to provide 2 options here, both plain serial and I2C or SPI translated through a dedicated MCU.

Since the products using that product are currently in SparkX as part of our R&D efforts, there is not a current plan to add it right away. However, we do appreciate the feedback and it is a great idea! We will absolutely consider your request for future updates.

Just being curious: what is the typical time it takes a product to go from SparkX to "normal" Sparkfun status? This may have to say about how I plan my next project - I can delay some things with a few months to wait for a Sparkfun a la carte Iridium 9603, or I can base myself on another solution .
