My USB Evaluation board sometimes shuts off when my module is using a lot of power. It happens more frequently when the module is running the beta firmware 07.02.402 from http://www.roundsoulutions.com/techdocs/
This appears to be caused when the board is powered only through the host computers USB +5v port. It doesn't have the ability to handle the 2A spikes that the module demands while communicating with the cell phone network towers.
I used an external power supply in conjunction with the USB port to solve this problem.
