GPS 1Hz Signal on EM 406A

I bought this receiver about a year ago and NEMA messages still work fine.

I cannot however find the 1Hz signal that is reported to be present on PIN 6 of the device. I've probed every pin with no pull, pull up, and pull down resistors to no avail.

The LED blinks at .5 Hz when the GPS signal is locked.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.
Justin

Hi,

What do you mean by "probed"? Did you use an oscilloscope?

Thanks John.

Yes, I viewed each pin with an o-scope from seeed, but I was looking for a 1Hz square wave so could have missed the short pulse. Thanks for pointing me to that discussion. I'm a "clock nut" too! Have you heard of ClockTHREE?
