hi,
i am a new to this IMU concept and i need to use one for position estimation of a moving person. i wud be using say gps or RFIDs to correct the accumulative error of the IMU but first i need to select a suitable IMU which wud meet my needs which are :
1. portable so i can easily attach it to the shoe of the person.
2.i can get the position of the person and direction in which he is moving.
3.i can collect the data of the accelerometers and gyro-meters and process them on offline (like double integrating the acceleration data to get the distance.(or if any IMU comes with a processor which can do such calculations)
4.Low cost is one of the concerns too.
i havent looked for too many devices but the one of them INEMO V2(by st electronics) seemed appropiate but i am not sure.
Please help me selecting an appropriate IMU asap.
