I have LS20031 and I tried to upgrade firmware using DIYDrones custom firmware ver. 1.6: http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot/wiki/MediaTek.
After I uploaded their firmware successfully, the red led on board is always turned on, and I can't communicate with Arduino using GPS_MTK or TinyGPS library; MiniGPS_1.4 can't fix position.

I'd like to roll back firmware. Does anybody have the original firmware?

I did the same thing thinking it would work since it's supposed to be the MT3329 MTK chipset.

Anyone have any advice. My symptoms are the the same as above.

Same story ... Any one have firmware for locosys chips?
