Tips and questions relating to the GPS modules from SFE

I have hooked up my Copernicus GPS to my Duemilanove. It works great when I have it hooked up to the computer through USB. When I disconnect it can't seem to get a fix reliably. I used the GPS eval board schematic to know how to wire up the Copernicus. I get the 3.3V everywhere I should but I didn't attach the 4 points shown in the image (XSTBY, TX, RX, & PPS).

Do XSTBY & PPS need to be connected? If so, I can't see on the GPS eval board what XSTBY should be connected to and I don't know how to wire up the PPS line.

Help?

TXA, RXA, & PPS don't need to be connected to anything and XSTBY simply needs to be connected to 3.3V. I simply tie XSTBY to VCC, but through a 1K resistor should also work fine.
