Yes a simple voltage divider with resistors can work. Just be aware that the capacitance on the board along with the pin input capacitance can limit the slew (how fast the signals rise or fall). This ultimately limits the speed that you can transition these signals from high to low and low to high. The best bet is to use a level shifter that keep the capacitance and resistance low. This way you safely transition from the higher voltage to the lower and do not loose any speed.
