hi all!
1.how should i interface fv-m8 with pc, what all i need to buy along with fv-m8 to get the data displayed in minigps or gps locator utility. circuit diagram is appreciated.

2.i am using avr atmega8 microcontroller for extracting data from fv-m8 and display the contents on lcd. i need help in what all components to be used here along with fv-m8. circuit diagram is appreciated. reply asap.

You will need a power supply and a RS232 chip.

I have a Question ???????????


I am a student and i m using GPS 32 channel san jose navigation module and GPS Evaluation Board GPS-08334 for data extraction .
When i use USB interface of Evaluation board (GPS-08334) for data extraction it will work........
But unfortunately when i want to use uart interface of evaluation board it is not workng...........

Do you have any suggesstions...........

Power supply and FT232 cable (USB to TTL-serial).

Waqar, if you connect only the RS232 cable, the module will not be powered. Keep the USB cable connected, even if communication is done through RS232 DB9 connector.
