Tips and questions relating to the GPS modules from SFE

It comes with a 1100mah 3.7v im looking for more run time from the battery would a 2200mah 3.7v give twice the run time i am getting now?

I have found a 3.7 V 6400mAh as well any info i should know before i solder this in?

just solder it in place of the 1100mah. do rememebr that it will take much longer to charge

I ended up with a 6600mah 3.7v battery.
I also bought a charger for it. Would the GeoChron be able to charge it even?


obviously its not going to fit inside the case lol

what i rememebr is that the geochron gps comes with a builtin single lithium charger. that means it would be able to charge bigger cells at 3.7 volts. Its just going to take more time as the current delivery of this charger is limited

It should be able to charge that battery, the trouble will be that the max charge current with the max1555 is 280 ma. 6600 mah/280 ma = 23.57 hrs.
