Tips and questions relating to the GPS modules from SFE

Just a warning that the GeoChron case softens when exposed to summer vehicle temperatures.

I mounted the GeoChron on the top of the rollbar in my Jeep with the top of the case touching the black canvas top. After a day with the high around 98°, I noticed that the case was slightly deformed. (Not enough to impeded operation.)

I put a meat thermometer in the same location and it registered 154°. The thermometer left in the sun on the dash for an hour registered 190°.

I had intended to leave the GeoChron in the Jeep but I guess I'll have to take it with me whenever I park it for more than a few minutes.
