Please add comparison charts and consistent feature lists

Post by CosmicVoyager » Mon Oct 14, 2013 6:24 am

Please add better comparison charts and consistent features lists.

For example, I am trying to compare the Pro Micro and the Teensy 3.0. The Teensy has a much longer list of features. Is that because it has more features or because features are missing from the Pro Micro list?

For example, the Teensy list "128K Flash Memory, 16K RAM, 2K EEPROM", and the Pro Micro does not list any memory. Does it have memory? If so, what kind and how much?

Teensy 3.0

32 bit ARM Cortex-M4 48 MHz CPU (M4 = DSP extensions)
128K Flash Memory, 16K RAM, 2K EEPROM
14 High Resolution Analog Inputs (13 bits usable, 16 bit hardware)
34 Digital I/O Pins (10 shared with analog)
10 PWM outputs
7 Timers for intervals/delays, separate from PWM
USB with dedicated DMA memory transfers
3 UARTs (serial ports)
SPI, I2C, I2S, IR modulator
I2S (for high quality audio interface)
Real Time Clock (with user-added 32.768 crystal and battery)
4 general purpose DMA channels (separate from USB)
Touch Sensor Inputs

Pro Micro - 3.3V/8MHz

ATMega 32U4 running at 3.3V/8MHz
Supported under Arduino IDE v1.0.1
On-Board micro-USB connector for programming
4 x 10-bit ADC pins
12 x Digital I/Os (5 are PWM capable)
Rx and Tx Hardware Serial Connections
Our Smallest Arduino-Compatible Board Yet!

You are comparing bicycles to a BMW. These are 2 different classes of microcontrollers. If you need more details of an item, read the datasheet and/or manual. Sparkfun is here to help you, not hold your hand.
Available for circuit and PCB design, just PM me!

Yes with the help of combination charts and comparision charts it becomes easy to list out the various features, as charts helps us in a proper visualization.
