This is just my 2 cents, but it looks like a LARGE majority of the topics posted in these forums are people asking for advice or information (okay, let's belabour the obvious). If it's a question about AVR, PIC, ARM LPC, then there's a forum for that, but if it's a general electronics question (measuring inductance, questions about batteries, or questions about specific SpakrFun products), these questions tend to end up in the Site Questions/Comments forum, or the Projects forum.
It might, therefore, be useful to have an "Electronics Questions" forum, or similar, to stop diluting the other forums with what are (sort of) off-topic questions...
