Possibly a question for OLIMEX: In the schematic for the Atmel SAM7 ARM Dev Board, R5 and R6 have a value of zero (0). Is this intentional? I'm trying to design an SRM7 circuit, and cribbing this excellent design for some of the basic stuff (resistor values, etc), and want to know if I can omit these two (near the JTAG header).

thanks,

zero-ohm 'resistors' are placed in designs for several reasons: they're just shorts (thus 0 ohms) through standard resistor pads or through-holes, so they provide a way for the user to set the resistance in that part of the circuit to whatever is desired. you'll see them from time to time on development and demo boards that can have varying uses, they're there to make the board more flexible.

If you don't need resistors in that part of the circuit in your own design, you can just run straight traces there.

Thanks, Andry. That'swhat I figured, but wanted to make sure there wasn't just a typo in the schematic.
