The Product image of the ARMexpress micro, shows one of the components off pad. It's the top right 4 leg IC that is skewed off pad. Just wanted to let you know about this.

This was originally pointed out by another friend of mine.

Having been in the electronics manufacturing arena for 13 years, this defect does not reflect the integrity of the product. Bottom line, if you build lots of boards, you are going to get some defects.

I'll grant you and your friend have some sharp eyes.

Yes the component is askew, but in this case it is intended. The first 10-15 units were built with an NCP553 in place of the designed in TPS71533.

The reason, typical for new electronics, the TPS71533 was on back-order at the time. So the ON part was substituted and placed by hand on 2 pads and a convenient feedthru. We have received our first shipments of the proper TI part.

So you might consider those first units collectors items :)
