i am considering buying the Hot-air Rework Station.
i am starting to place smaler and smaler SMT parts on my prototypes and i am starting to have a hard time seeing the some of these MLF package pins to solder. I never seen a Hot-Air system in action, I am assuming that I can put some solder paste down, line the part up, hold it down and then use this tool to solder up the part.

or is this tool just for removal of parts ?

hot air is best for removal. I once attempted a MLF sort of package (A DFN) with hot air and I had to go back and fix it with an iron. I've found an iron, a hot plate, or an oven is best for packages like that
