Hello,

I have just received my 3 axis accelerometer today.

While I was solderig the pins of accelerometer ( Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakout - MMA7260Q ) I have noticed that there is short circuit in the pcb unit.

I measured it and it is really short. Please see the image.

I have also emailed to customer service, what else im I supposed to do?

Remove the capacitors, fix the short, and replace them?

Nothing else to do. Customer Service should be taking it from there. Have you received a response yet?

I agree. The only reason not to do this would be that this would presumably void Sparkfun's warranty (only a problem if the accelerometer was faulty as well).

thanks for the replies. It is easy to fix or not, this is a manifacturing problem. I mailed to sparkfun and they replied instantly. The customer service accepted malfunction promised to send new one. I have not received it yet. Thanks sparkfun for good customer service.
