Hello I am really pleased with the Sparkfun Rotary Phone I purchased but I am having a charging problem with it.. when I plug the charger in the phone stops as it should but the battery does not charge.. I am using the correct wall adapter from Sparkfun. I can use the phone as I also purchased a Li-Poly battery and charger which does work. IS there a way to check on the PCB that the charge curcuit is active? There is a big LED on the board that never lights up which may be connected with the charge curcuit. Continued unplugging of the battery to charge it with the external charger will eventually cause damage to the connector as it is so tight.
Thanks for a great product any help would be appreciated.

Is the battery 'completely' dead when you plug the charger in? If the battery voltage is too low the charger circuit on the rotary board will go into a slow charge mode and the LED won't behave as you might expect. Leave it plugged in for a while (maybe up to an hour or so) and see if the red LED comes on then.
