Hello, I am new here and a very novice programmer. I am trying to use this controler ,http://redragon-global.com/catalog/game ... dio-li-ion, with this USB shield,https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9947, and an arduino uno. My end goal is to control a small RC robot for a college project, I am a mechanical engineering student, I have tried to use the USB 2.0 host shield library recommended in the comments section of the usb shield web page, I can't seem to get it to work in the PS3 examples from the USB 2.0 host shield files with a serial report of "OSC did not start" I don't know know what this means or how to fix it. What I would like to do is get the serial monitor to give me the input values of the various controller buttons and joysticks so that I can map out a throttle to control 2 ESCs for the wheel of the robot, and then have the triggers send another value to another ESC, for the weapon system I am using a spinning "blade" that I would like to be able to spin in either direction depending on the trigger that is pulled.
Presently my layout is just that the USB dongle is connected to the shield and the shield is connected along the pins on each side, I have nothing attached to any of the GPIN and GPOUT pins, I also have not attached any of the jumpers mentioned in the comment section of the sparkfun USB shield web page because I'm not certain I know what they are talking about and if they are necessary for my uses.
Any assistance is welcome, thank you.
