Hi, First post and I am very new to electronics, in fact this will be my first project, so bear with me if I ask simple questions!
I would like to connect a serial port to a kindle paperwhite 2. It runs on 1.8v and can be connected using something like this:
http://jim.sh/1v8/
I notice you have a product called "FT231X Breakout" which states:
"It should be noted that the max input of the FT231X is only 3.3V, but it can operate down to 1.8V with external pull-ups"
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13263
Does this mean I can do something to modify the board so it will have equivalent function to the other one I linked?
Appreciate your advice
