Hi,

I'm just starting with the Thing.

I would like to measure the current consumption in deep sleep (right now at 2.57 mA) without the red Power LED turned on. How do I turn it off?

Thanks!

You can not do this with software. it is hard wired. You have to remove the led or R16 or make a cut on the board. Seems some people tried this before

Hi Paulvha,

Thanks for the reply. I have cut the board. On the other side of the board is PWR jumper. I have cut it to break the connection. Now the red Power LED is off and current is at 1.23 mA in deep sleep.

Any suggestions on how to further reduce the current consumption on the Thing in the deep sleep mode? What is driving the current?

Thanks.

If you have Google in your part of the world, try searching for "esp32 deep sleep"
