Have questions about a SparkFun product or board? This is the place to be.

Greetings,

I have been playing with some of the products I received from Sparkfun and one of them is the MPU-6050 chip. I have it connected to a UNO board and I am following a popular sketch to calibrate the chip. No matter what I do (and I had this issue with an MPU-9250, as well), I cannot get the "X" or "Y" axis to reach over 71 - 75 degrees on the readout - even when the board is vertical or on end. It starts at zero degrees just fine when flat but I seem to be missing a few degrees of output. I know vertical when I see it but this chip doesn't. I am aware that countless others have made this work so I am hoping that one of those brave souls who discovered the problem that I am experiencing will enlighten me here so I can move on with my project.

I am clear that I can use the range function to translate 0 - 71 degrees to 0 - 90 degrees but I also know that I should not have to do so.

Respectfully - Baran
