I'm getting started with the BLE Mate 2 board, using the FT232R breakout for the FTDI. I'm connecting with a Mac running Sierra 10.12.6. I have the drivers installed and seem to connect with the BLE Mate. However I don't see any output from the BLEMate when I connect.
If I use their MelodySmart iphone app I see the connection info in my serial terminal program (goSerial). If I send data ("hi") via the app I see a "RCV=hi" echoed in the terminal program. I can execute commands via the app and see the output in the terminal program. However I can't send data or execute any commands from the terminal program. It's like the terminal program receives but doesn't send. That's a problem since I want to get everything figured out on the mac before I connect the BLE mate to my PIC uC (where development takes a lot longer). Thanks in advance!
