Pan / Tilt kit with 4 axis joy stick ?

Very new with all of this, but I have a sparkfun Pan/tilt kit, I would like to have a 4 axis joystick ( pan right -pan left- pan up -pan down) I can only find 2 axis joy stick. Would I be better off to use a 4 button pad of some kind? And if so any ideas?

2 axis is what you want. Pan up/down are the same axis, just negative vs positive values. Same with pan right/left.

Sorry, not negative vs positive, usually resting position is in the middle of the value range for that axis. So for a lot of analog joysticks, it's just two potentiometers with values from 0 to 1024, with the middle position being 512. Don't know what I was thinking with negative values.
