Hello All,

I'm looking to purchase the 5-way Tactile Switch (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10063), and I am wondering how to connect it to the raspberry pi. I know that ground goes to ground, and the other pins go to the gpio pins on the raspberry pi but do I need resistors between each? What is the power requirements for this device.

That has 5 switches in one package; it doesn't draw any power. Wiring it as you describe should work; you can either use the on-chip pullups on the Pi or add your own; To make things simple, I'd go with the on-chip ones.

Have a look at the library and examples/references from WiringPi ( http://wiringpi.com/) Download the library from that website as it is more up to date than the one you get with apt-get.
