I am trying to get the SparkFun Transceiver Breakout - RS-485 to work, but I do not think I have it wiring right.
does anyone have an example of how to wired it ?
I am sure I have the usart part wiring right ...
3V, tx -> rx, rx -> tx, and gnd

but I am not sure about the rs485 part
I have B going to B
A going to A
gnd going to gnd

and 15 V going to 15V
and Gnd going to GND

3 and 2 are both blank

What makes you think it is not correctly connected? According to the schematic, those silkscreen numbers 2 and 3 (on JP1) do not seem to be connected to anything of the chip. So they seem redundant.

However, it is very likely that the 15 volt killed it. As the absolute maximum supply voltage is 6 volt.
