Photon Battery Shield: shorter, smaller options

Working on a project that integrates a Particle Photon + LiPo via the Photon Battery Shield. The shield works great, but the stack height of the Photon + Battery Shield + LiPo + Project Board(s) is getting to be too high. What other options for USB power plus charging might I be able to use, please?
