Hi.
I am looking for a small magnetic sensor that can measure the proximity of a magnet. The distance to be measured is up to 4cm away using a small rare earth magnet. ( https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8644 )
The idea is that the magnet will be attached to an eyebrow and a shield on the forehead with the magnetic sensor can read the magnet and give a proportional reading on the distance down to 1mm or less resolution.
I have tried various hall effect devices but none of them have the distance sensitivity that I need. As mentioned the sensor needs to be small and lightweight.
Output can be analogue, SPI, or I2C
Many thanks
Marc
