Dear community,

I am using SparkFun RGB and Gesture Sensor - APDS-9960 in a project. There is an image found in the datasheet of this sensor https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sen ... ds9960.pdf (page 17) that shows that when doing, for example, a right gesture (i.e from left to right) the first signal comes from the right photodiode instead of the left one (as it is more logical to start with the left one).

The datasheet says "The directional sensors are arranged such that the diode opposite to the directional motion receives a larger portion of the reflected IR signal upon entry, then a smaller portion upon exit."

I want to know why does this happen and not the opposite? I need your help.

Regards.
