I've got a data logging project going using the ESP32 Thing and the fat 6Ah Lithium Ion battery. I want to integrate a solar panel into the project. I'm looking for a sanity check.

According to the hookup guide
These pins can be used as an alternative supply input to the Thing. The maximum, allowable voltage input to VUSB is 6V, and VBAT should not be connected to anything other than a LiPo battery.
The way I'm reading this, my understanding is that if I wanted to hook up a solar power supply (or any other supply, whose voltage does not exceed 6V, I should hook it up to the VUSB pins. Is this correct?
