So I recently added an Android head unit to my car. Yesterday I received an ELM327 BT module which works perfectly fine with my phone, but not with the head unit due to it's Bluetooth module being external... I also don't think it's a good idea to keep a Bluetooth device in my OBD port for security reasons...
But I did have the SparkFun OBD-II UART board laying around, so I was wondering, should I be able to use this with the Torque Android app over USB? Torque doesn't recognize it directly, so maybe I need to put an Arduino in between to make it possible? Is there any existing software, if not documentation on how the protocol should work?
