Hi I have 6 digital sandboxes that return this error when I try to upload a sketch

platform.txt from core 'SparkFun AVR Boards' contains deprecated recipe.ar.pattern

Please instruct how to fix this problem.

I have tried arduino v. 1.8.1, v. 1.8.0 and v. 1.6.13. Are these boards still usable or obsolete?
