Hi,
I've tried attaching an external status LED to the SparkFun USB LiPoly Charger (PRT-12711), to the two contacts provided just beneath the built-in LED, but my LED did not light up.
In fact, I've tried multiple different LEDs and none light up.
I suspect that the built-in LED and external LED cannot be used at the same time. Another post in this forum points in that direction, but there was never a final confirmation of that theory.
Is this the case? If so, is there any easy way to disable the built-in LED, without desoldering it?
And what's the specification for the external LED that should be used?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
