Hello. First post. Great to be here. I was so excited to see the way Sparkfun makes electronics make sense to those of us who want to learn more!!
I am trying to make my own drone recovery chute. I want to make the electronics as small and light as possible. I want to trigger the servo to rotate 90 degrees if the accelerometer either detects freefall or is rotated more than 90 degrees along the x or y axis. I was thinking of using the servo trigger with an acceleromoter, but have no idea what other components I would need? I would like to power the whole thing with a with a CR123 if possible, but that is flexible.
Thanks in advance for the help and I look forward to learning more as I go.
