Greetings, this is an additional tip for using the Sparkfun hardware for Edison | Spark 'blocks'.

Only put the hardware in the opposite corner holes diagonally away from the Hirose connector, and DO NOT put the hardware through the connector corner holes. The Hirose connector provides more than enough stability for the 'stack' in the corner near the connector (even without hardware), and of course the spacing is perfect. This means obviously that more boards may be snugly stacked with half the hardware nuts and bolts.

If you need to keep the boards 'together' (stability in that corner is NOT an issue) you can use a very tiny (longer) metric bolt with a single nut (gently snug) that will keep the boards from coming apart. Sparkfun might consider adding this bolt(s) to the hardware kits. The bolt should be long enough to handle at least a stack of six (or longer) and can be easily shortened if necessary by use of a dremel tool.

Cheers,
marcus
