For a little fun project I want to wire a DEV-10039/Can-Bus shield to one of my Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately I am not sure enough about the Shield's output voltage (and do not want to fry my Pis GPIO).

The PI wants 3,3V on the pins. But what about the shield, does it output 3,3V or 5V. From the what I can see pin 18 of the MCP2515 is wired to 5V, thus suggesting it is 5V and I have to add a level shifter. I just would like to avoid this if I could.

So is it 5V + level shifter or 3.3V and I can wire right into the Pi?
