Hello,

I pulled a Mitsumi M55SP-2K out of a working Samsung LaserJet printer and want to try and get it to work with my Arduino. I am interested in purchasing the Sparkfun EasyDriver Stepper Motor Driver.

From the product description on Sparkfun's product page for the EasyDriver, it seems like it should work since it says it can work with any voltage motor (if you look at the link, it's 24V DC). The motor is bi-polar, so that's good. I'm just not 100% sure about the amps - the specs say that .8A/1.2A, but on the EasyDriver page it says: 150mA/phase to 750mA/phase...is this a problem? Or are there going to be any other problems?

My other concern is going to be how to hook up the wires...the motor has 3 red wires, and 1 black wire (they're all on a connector). The specs don't say anything about the wires, and I've never even worked with a stepper motor before. But I suppose this would be another topic/conversation...
