I'm looking at the LT3652 Spec Sheet, which says "No VIN Blocking Diode Required for Battery Voltages ≤ 4.2V".
I have a single Voltaic 6W panel connected (6V pk).
I am using a single LiPo cell, so <4.2V, but I get cell discharge with panel connected at night, which seems contrary to the spec sheet. If I disconnect the panel, the battery lasts longer.

Has anyone else used the SunnyBuddy without blocking diode and gotten expected results?
Anyone using a blocking diode with Set voltage retune? without Set voltage retune?

BTW; I have also tried adding a blocking diode, and tuned Set voltage with that, but without going into detail, things got strange with my attached processor/sensors after that, so something is off.

thanks
