I've been trying to read the schematic to understand how you guys got this entire bot powered with just 4xAA's. Every time I've tried a single power source the motor controller pulls too many amps from the power source, causing the microcontroller to reset. Please enlighten me on how the RedBot mainboard handles power distribution... I'm assuming it has to do with the efficiency of the voltage regulator and motor controller but am not sure.

Thanks!

What sources did you use?
How did you connect them?
When you say "pulling to many amps" doesn't make sense. The only reason why this would happen is if you were connecting another power source the wrong way and/or you hooked it up wrong.

I did not have a 10uF cap on both the input and output sides of the 7805. After installing them everything works fine. Thanks.
