Dear All,

Please welcome me to this forum.
I need to know, are there any sensors to check a vehicle is fully on platform ?
I have a 6mx3m weighing platform for vehicle/forklift. I need sensors to check the vehicle is fully on platform.
Can anyone tell me what sensors is suitable for me ?

You could stick some load cells under your platform. When it weighs up beyond a certain threshold, the vehicle can be assumed to be on the lift.

Actually, I think the platform has load cells built in. Can you get access to the weight data? Joeisi's idea makes sense. If you have too wide a range of weights that will be on the platform, you can tell when the 2nd set of wheels is on platform by watching for 2 plateaus in the reported weight - one is when the first wheels are on the platform and the 2nd when the 2nd set of wheels are.

If the platform needs to stabilize before a measurement, maybe you could tap into the load cells directly.
