Dear All,

I'm looking for a simple to use, efficient 3.3V switched regulator. Input voltage is 4 NiMH batteries (3.6-6)V input and output voltage is 3.3V. I will need to draw typically 1A out, so a linear regulator is probably no good.

any suggestions?

national has some farly decent design software online, webbench: http://webench.national.com/appinfo/pow ... /index.cgi
You just plug in your parameters and it spits out several recommentations. with 1A 3.3V out and 3.6 to 6V in, it recommended 2 chips: LM1577 and LM2577. It has a simulation of the lm2577 design.
