Hello

Is it possible to make custom button pads from out of the same material as the SparkFun button pads such as these

I realise it's silicon rubber but I'm not sure if it's available as a DIY material

What I'd like is some of these

But with a cap like the rubber pads

I have made numerous molds from silicon and cast with various resins. With a proper release agent, there is nothing from keeping you from casting rubber button covers.

Now trying to get them to spring back from accordian folds in the rubber is not likley to happen. Put a cover over the mechenical buttons is very possible.

Rebound-25 is a nice product. I was able to cast LEGO bricks that would snap to real LEGO. I was also able to add bronze powder to a plastic resin to make a faux bronze sculpture. It might be the case that the bronze creates an electrical circuit. Would have to check
