This thread has been really helpful but I'm still having a problem getting my Duemillanove to get any response from the bma180. I used the wiring diagram and code here and it didn't fly. I (stupidly) hooked it up without the logic level converter before realizing that I should have it. May this have fried the little guy?
Also, I tried the scanner and it came back with nothing, meaning it went through all addresses and got no "found!".
I checked for shorts. Nope.
Somewhere in my readings I saw that the BMA180 has voltage protection so I don't want to jump to the (time consuming and costly) conclusion that it's fried. I'm pretty new to all this so forgive my ignorance.
